Can someone explain why we can't

do what Southampton are doing ?
Who are 3-0 up, taking a strong squad to Holland and then have one of their longest away days up to Newcastle on Sunday.
Be interesting to see their results.
I can't see why they are able to do that but we can't ?

Forget previous rounds.
Our first squad have been pretty protected up until now. Inexcusable as to why our first team squad is not doing a job like their's is.
If anything they could afford to take the second string being 3-0 up but Koeman said he will treat the competition properly and momentum is good to have going into the league campaign. Hard to disagree

They are also up against a much better team than we are so perhaps their manager feels he needs a full first team squad whereas our manager thinks we should be able to progress with a second string? We also have a few injuries and have played 5 competitive games already.
